Why was SproutLaunch started?

It all started with my younger brother.  About three months ago, we made a deal to do one activity each month that we had never done before, anything from volunteering to donating to charity. We both failed miserably, not because we weren't willing or wanting to help, but sometimes we get lost in the craziness of our own lives and push off others (well- he did do a beach clean up one day, so failed miserably may not be the exact term he wants me to use, but you get what I mean). With that in mind, I wanted to create a site where I could be reminded to do a simple act of kindness every day. This site does not require visitors to participate every day or even prove they completed the good deed; the site was simply created to encourage kindness. It’s my personal project to complete each good deed posted. I encourage you to do the same.
A little side note: Based on the past week alone, I am floored by the good deed submissions and general site feedback. I have a permanent smile on my face!
